The first item of clothing you are wearing is the shirt. It is made with a white fabric compact, dense texture that they call 'Pelléova'. Presents curl thick neck (on ciughittu) and sleeve (on manigottu) is that the cuff to the shoulder (on brucciu). The curling of the sleeve is so thick that the width of the bag itself is about a meter and a half.
In this photo you can see a shirt as a child, who was put on a sleeveless bodice.
Even the opening in the front is adorned with thick embroidery. The embroidery
that garnish the cuffs, neck and shoulder of the shirt is called in my part of 'punctuality Vanu,' but in Sardinia has different names depending on the area. For superficial look is reminiscent of smocking from which, however is very different, as can be seen looking at these details:
embroidery cuff ...
... and the neck.
And here are other examples of punctuality in Vanu shirts for women, where the embroidery is White
embroidery shoulder ... (Hanging sleeve) ...
... the neck ...
... another neck ...
... a shoulder, which can be glimpsed on the right of the thick embroidery machine-made with great precision ...
... a cuff.
And finally a detail of the decoration of the gap at the front of the neckline (is pettorrasa):
